1st Place in Brisket & Chicken

I have been smoking meat for about 20 years. I am a KCBS Certified Competition BBQ Judge. I only went to one Competition just to see what all the fuss was about. It was a lot of work, but it was fun. And the people I met were the BEST!!!!! Want to find down to earth people? Go to a BBQ competition.

These 2 - 1st Place Trophies in Brisket and Chicken are proof that anyone with "basic" BBQ skills can go to a competition and win on their first try!!!!

The Team next to me had won 300 trophies and several State Championships and they didn't even place in Chicken or Brisket. Go Figure!!!
